About

Hi, I’m Viriane, a passionate photographer and filmmaker with a rich heritage that blends British and Ivorian cultures. My creative journey is deeply influenced by my dual identity and my academic pursuits in fashion management. I am fluent in French, which allows me to connect deeply with my Ivorian roots and communicate effectively in both Anglophone and Francophone West African contexts.

I hold a Master’s degree in Fashion Management from London College of Fashion, where I specialised in traditional and contemporary Ivorian fashion. My dissertation explored the critical success of fashion entrepreneurs and the intricate beauty of traditional woven fabrics through both quantitative and qualitative research.

My Work

My work spans across film, digital, and documentary styles, with a special focus on West Africa, particularly Côte d’Ivoire, my motherland. I am dedicated to capturing the essence of cultural identity and the heartbeat of my heritage. My projects often weave in themes of water, reflecting my belief in water as the element of life and renewal.

Photography and Film

On this website, you will find a collection of my photography and film portfolios. From vibrant fashion shoots to poignant documentary series, each project is a narrative of my journey and the stories I am passionate about telling.

Future Aspirations

I aspire to compile my work into a book, preserving and celebrating the cultural heritage of Côte d’Ivoire. My ultimate goal is to inspire through visual storytelling, driving innovation in identity, fashion and cultural preservation.
